* The Food and Drug Administration of the United States guidelines classify menthol as an essential oil. Menthol is considered safe, i.e., “GRAS” status by the FDA. Menthol is approved for application onto cold sore/fever blisters by the FDA.
Zap-H™ ingredients have not been evaluated or approved by the FDA regarding improvements in cold sore (HSV1) virus infections.
Zap-H™ does not cure or remove the virus from the body, because the herpes virus can remain dormant, as it hides inside the body's nerve cells until the next outbreak.
